The Meaning of Life To talk about “the meaning of life” is to assume that meaning exists and that life has meaning. The first question we must consider is does life in fact have meaning? Only then can we try to understand what that meaning may be. However it may not be that simple, we might need to first look into possible meanings and then see if these can be attributed to life, essentially working backwards. Another question that must be considered is why do people seem to want to find the meaning of life? Why are we not content just ‘being’?
